VIENNA - Joy Diane (Creed) Cicero, 72, of Vienna, passed away on Wednesday evening January 2, 2019 at her home.
She was born in Warren, OH on April 22, 1946 a daughter of the late Harold and Joyce Creed.
Joy was a graduate of Liberty High School and went on to beautician school which would lead her to work as beautician and clothing model for local retailers over several years before starting her career at Packard Electric. She worked for 33 years split between working the line and being a forklift operator and while there volunteered for the newsletter staff, writing and editing articles.
Joy was an avid genealogist and conducted extensive research into Creed and Merrill family history, as well as that of the Cicero’s. Her research took her on an unforgettable trip to England where she met other Creed family members and visited historic landmarks. She created many great memories for her children with the annual Geneva-on-the-Lake and Pennsylvania camping trips. While in Pennsylvania, she enjoyed riding motorcycles with family and friends and during the winter months she spent much time crocheting countless blankets, hats and baby clothes.
Joy loved her family, was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and will forever be remembered through her memorable stories.
She leaves behind her husband Philip J. Cicero whom she married at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church in Niles, OH on February 28, 1969; her children Philip (Renata) Cicero II and
