Nathan Graham Obituary

VIENNA- Nathan Graham, 90, of Johnston, OH passed away peacefully with loving family by his side on July 3, 2019 in the home of his son Ed and his family which he has shared for the past two years.

Hugh was born June 28, 1929 to Hugh and Elsie (Dever) Graham in Industry, PA.  He served in the Army for a short period of time and received an honorable discharge so that he was able to take care of his first wife the former Patsy Yeager who had become terminally ill.

Dad has six children Jodi (Michael) Hanczar of Beaver, PA, Lorie (Brian) Foster and Tammi (William) Davis all of New Brighton, PA, Cindy (David) Hillier of Brookfield,  Edward (Terri) Wheaton of Vienna, and George (James) Wheaton of Warren; eight grandchildren Jessica Hillier, Amanda Rafaiani, Dalton Wheaton, Madison Wheaton, Ashley DiBell, Megan Foster, Nathan Foster, Kelsey Lutz; two great-grandchildren Xavier and Alex; brother Phillip Graham of Industry, PA; and by his sister Maxine Gerken of Sac City, IA.

He was preceded in death by his wife Sandra Sue (Veon) Graham in 1999, and by his brother William Graham.

Hugh was self-employed in the early years as a contractor, then as an area manager for Busy Beaver Hardware, and retired as the regional sales representative for Schusters Building Components which was located in Pittsburgh. He was a very hard worker and always provided for his family.

Hugh shared many stories of his time in a one room school house, traveling out west before the invent of major highways, and of his airplane.  He enjoyed playing ukulele, traveling, working in his garage on various projects, reading Popular Mechanic magazines and most of all spending time with his grandchildren that he loved so much.

He was a sweet, kind, and loving man to all that knew him. His grandchildren will recall his zest of life riding roller coasters and going to county fairs for countless hours on end and enjoying ever minute.

“We are going to miss you terribly Dad, but we know that you are up in Heaven with Sandy and others you loved so much. We Hope you are doing the Jitterbug with Mom.”
