Philip "Skip" Milford Obituary

VIENNA- Philip “Skip” Milford, 78, of Vienna passed away peacefully on Sunday morning June 3, 2018 while a patient at Hospice House in Poland with his compassionate nurse Julie by his side.

He was born November 18, 1939 in Barberton, OH a son of Fred and Teresa (Pitz) Milford.

Phil was a graduate of Barberton High School and enlisted with the United States Marine Corps. where he would proudly serve for four years with the 10th Marine Artillery while at Camp Lejeune with the Fleet Marine Force before receiving his honorable discharge as an E4 Corporal for his service rendered to our country.

He was employed by General Motors Lordstown for thirty-three years before his retirement. He truly cherished all the friendships that were made over the years with all his coworkers.

In earlier years Phil had enjoyed bowling and has always loved his Ohio State Buckeyes.  His greatest joys were spending time with his family and friends, in addition he had a wonderful sense of humor and loved to make everyone laugh.  He was the most loving, caring and devoted husband a wife could ever dream of.

Milford and his wife Kathy of Santee, CA, Courtney Collins and her companion Tom Miller of Vienna, OH, Christopher Collins and his companion Cari Bobb of Dresden, OH; three grandchildren Zachary Collins, Madeline Collins, and Andrew Milford, and two sisters Ellen Milford of North Carolina, and Paula Mahoney of Virginia.
