VIENNA- Mrs. Gladys Lucille Miller, of Vienna, OH passed away peacefully on Wednesday morning May 27th, 2020 at Windsor House at Liberty Arms Assisted Living.
Gladys was born in Girard, OH on April 9th, 1925 to Michael and Barbara (Molinar) Pozega. She was a graduate of Girard High School and married her sweetheart Gerald T. Miller on May 13th, 1950.
Prior to having children, Gladys worked at the former Ohio Leather Works in Girard. For the majority of her life she was a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother to her family. During her free time she enjoyed watching classic movies, mysteries and baseball.
Mrs. Miller was a devoted charter member of Queen of the Holy Rosary Church and a member of the Croatian Fraternal Union of America.
She leaves behind to cherish her memories her sister Barbara Cercone and her husband Joseph; her sons Michael Miller and his wife Peggy, Thomas Miller, and Peter Miller all of Vienna, her daughter Caroline Merwin and her husband Daniel of Jackson, TN; her grandchildren Nicholas and Alexander Merwin, Amanda Collins and her husband Blake, and Aaron Burns; and her great-grandchildren Alyvia and Zachary Collins
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings Joseph Pozega, Helen Adams, Stanley Pozega, Mary Mullen, John Pozega, Michael Pozega, Peter Pozega, Paul Pozega, infant Katherine Pozega, and Stephen Pozega.
A Requiem Mass was held on Friday at Queen of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church with Fr. Arnaud Devillers F.S.S.P. officiating. Burial has taken place next to her husband at Vienna Township Cemetery.
The family wishes to acknowledge and thank her special friends who cared for her during her five years that she resided in Jackson, TN and the outstanding staff at Liberty Arms Assisted Living.
